Export video like it is played

Postby corteophil » 27 Sep 2010 05:59

Hi,
I just bought a new camera, from the JVC Everio HDD (Hard Disk) series. It's not HD, it shoots 720 x 480 in 16:9 or 4:3, I prefer 16:9.

At first the quality looked acceptable in VLC, but the video was very interlaced. Using the YADIF 2x filter works really well, the framerate looks a lot higher and the video looks so much better.

For a project I will need to work with my clips (which I haven't recorded yet, I only have test clips) with other editing software.

So my question is, how can I export/convert/save video from VLC that will play back in other software exactly like it does in VLC? Meaning the 59.94 fps, and pre-deinterlaced video using YADIF 2x (since I think VLC does live deinterlacing).
I've been searching all day, ended up trying stuff with AviSynth, VirtualDub and a bunch of other online tutorials, still nothing great. I can get it to export with deinterlacing, but with the 29 fps which means it isn't using YADIF 2x when exporting.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Phil
