Icons dissapeared?

Just want to start with saying VLC rocks! I still don't understand why people still use other players when clearly this is the best.

Now, to the problem.
I rescently upgraded to vlc 1.1.2 when I noticed some things were missing/changed.
Before the upgrade a "rec" ikon(record while watching something) and another one for like a "repeat" feature you could use, meaning you could repeat bits in the movie or audio you are watching/litsening to. I kind of miss those little things. Dose anybody got the same problem or any answers?
