is it possible to control playback with the mouse wheel?

Postby joshgura » 10 Aug 2010 04:15

i want to advance frames using the scroll wheel, is this possible to configure?

not exactly a feature request, but i'm eager to hear your responses on this.

also, is there a way to set up playback of a video so that it seamlessly loops to the beginning from the end as well as from the beginning, back to the end part of a video?

thanks for your time.

Advance frames? You mean frame-by-frame?

yes, when you upscroll, i want the player to advance one frame, and downscroll, one frame back.

if i scroll really fast, it starts to look like normal, etc.

any idea if this can be tweaked into being by the user?

is this possible?

also:

Normally, it should work with all of the videos.

how do you play frame by frame, looped?

i mean, the video staying in 'paused' state, advancing one frame with a keystroke or mouse wheel, then stopping at that frame until the key is pressed again to advance one more frame, etc. finally, looping to the same state once the end has been reached.

rephrased:
Can VLC be configured to advance frame by frame (forwards) with the mouse wheel?
