Cannot burn VLC avi file to a DVD with audio.

Cannot burn VLC avi file to a DVD with audio.

Postby mkultral25 » 29 Jul 2010 01:39

I have an AVI file which plays the video and audio fine in VLC. I am trying to burn the movie to a DVD, but it does not play the audio. No file is even found, as if the audio was never embedded into the avi. So VLC is the only player that will work. So if I import the video into encore or final cut, only the video appears in the timeline. I do not have a very good understanding of the convert and save feature in VLC. What steps should I take to get a file that plays both normally in a DVD burning program. Or can I burn right to DVD from VLC? Any help would be great.
