No audio when I play the video on the ipad

i have vlc media player version 1.1.1 and I'm having trouble converting a file for playing on the ipad. Every time I convert it, it plays fine in quicktime and on itunes, but when I transfer it to the ipad it has no audio. Has anyone else had this problem? What settings should I be using to rip the dvd? Could that be the issue?

Try the new VLC Media Player app for the iPad... hopefully this will fix your problem.
