Fedora 13 VLC crashes

Postby nyjetshead » 15 Jun 2010 23:42

From messages I have:

abrt[5954]: saved core dump of pid 5951 (/usr/bin/vlc) to /var/cache/abrt/ccpp-1276615231- 951.new/coredump (10924032 bytes)
abrtd: Directory 'ccpp-1276615231-5951' creation detected
abrtd: Package 'vlc-core' isn't signed with proper key
abrtd: Corrupted or bad crash /var/cache/abrt/ccpp-1276615231-5951 (res:5), deleting

I uninstalled, reinstalled, VLC and rebooted.

What's up with the key? I used yum to install and reinstall.

After starting vlc, It doesn't displaying anything on the screen.
It was working fine previously, I can't recall when I used it last.

From where did you have installed vlc ?

Please use the RPM Fusion additional repository http://rpmfusion.org

as reported here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=77105
You may have to run vlc once from a command line with:
MALLOC_CHECK_=1 vlc

Then everything should work.
If not, report are welcomed in http://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org
