shoutcast

Postby weebit » 08 Jun 2010 03:17

I have Windows OS XP. A nice person at "How to Geek" did a write up of your software. located here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/18860/pl ... st-in-vlc/

I thought i would give it a try. I did not get that far though. I can't find any of the settings they are talking about in their review. I so want this to work so I can get away from winamp.

I have a skin installed is that the problem? Does this feature even work on Windows boxes?

I was able to get to the point of Shoutcast radio listings, but no stations show up.

Skins2 interface is different. And guide is made on Windows, so it should work.

Open Tools -> Messages... (set Verbosity to 2) before doing that. Messages will complain something.

I've been having the same problem as justcallmefred. I can load http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/newtvlister.phtml?alltv=1 in browser, and glancing over the messages at verbosity = 2 it looks like it read the file fine. Not sure what the problem is though. I've posted the full list of messages below.

edit: Yeah, I know I'm trying to load shoutcast TV not shoutcast Radio below, but if I try radio I get pretty much the same results (no list of stations). Entering a valid url into Open Network Stream works though.
