Total Dorky Newb Needs Direction

Postby lydian8 » 14 May 2010 00:59

Hi, I can basically run VLC. What I need to know is how to pull video clips and save them as other files for other projects. I'm sure there is a better name for what I want to do, and at one point I had a tutorial and a second piece of software that could pull the video quite easily, I just don't know how to do it and no longer can find the tutorial. Can anyone help me? I'm sorry to post something so simple. This just isn't my area of expertise.

Also, I've searched for video clip ripping software. I need one that I can watch the footage and place the cuts visually. again, sorry I'm such a video dork.
