MKV subtitle problem with 1.0.6-9.1

Hi, im using VLC 1.0.6-9.1
I cant get the subtitle displayed on MKV file. whenever I play MKV file, the subtitle is disabled.
when i enable it by selecting available subtitle track, the player just quit.
still not try with standalone(.srt .idx .sub etc..) subtitle yet.

previous version(1.0.5-1) works just fine( but i don't want to use that due to performance problem when seeking, which are resolved on latest version)

Im using openSUSE 11.2, VLC downloaded from VLC repository.

anyone has same problem?any workaround?

Have you tried the vlc-package from the packman-repository?
