Take a Webcam Snapshot

Postby dawg22 » 26 Apr 2010 22:09

Hey guys,

I'm really frustrated right now. I'm running a Windows XP with a Logitech Pro 9000 Webcam. I'm trying to create a batch file which takes a snapshot of the current picture of the stream. I can't figure it out. I've been searching the entire web but their was either only a Linux solution (with "dev/...") or a dead end with no explanation.

I have figured out how to snapshot a video...

vlc -I dummy --run-time=1 /home/arbeitsplatz/Desktop/10144.flv -V image vlc://quit

... but I don't know how to do it on a webcam stream. I'm using the directshow protocol (dshow://)

Please help me, I'm completly stuck with this.

Cheers!
