Audio from VLC-player through Airport Express

Postby MalinWilliams » 30 Mar 2010 18:40

Hi!
I just recently bought an Airport Express and would like to use it when watching a movie in my VLC-player.
I've been trying to read in other forums and such to find a solution but most of the treads are so old that I'm unsure if they are still correct or the best way to solve stuff.

Read that the new VLC-player 1,0 has a streaming function. Don't really know what that means or what difference it make.
Allready downloaded free Airfoil, but do I still need it? Worth bying it?

Also read a lot about problems synching picture and audio when watching a movie. Still no solution?

I think I at least have some technical skills (for being a girl ;-) ) but some of the instructions in other forums is too hard for me to really understand. A specially when it comes to the whole streaming process which I really don't understand.

Would really appriciate some help and explanation!! (and sorry for my non perfect english :P )
/Malin

You can stream audio to AirPort, but it needs to be configured manually. There may indeed be synchronization problems.
