Getting Current Playlist MRL

Is there any way to get the currently playing MRL so that it can be used in another javascript function? I'm trying to make a function that loads a different webpage (with a bigger VLC plugin) and automatically starts to play whatever was being played in the previous window.

E.g. on Page1, xyz is currently playing. I want to get xyz (whatever it currently is) and send it to another page, where the VLC plugin automatically starts playing xyz)
