problem with watching mkv files

hello there i got a problem

it seems that i am watching a mkv files but i cant move forward to a different time in the movie cause when i do that vlc crashes

it seems that it only happen to a certain files other mkv files working fine i cant point the problem

can someone help me figure the problem what should i look into to solve this problem

As you mention that problem occur with a particular file only so you VLC is player is good. Some times It happens while burning mkv file.

thanks for the advice i just notice i forgot to say that the files i am watching are not burned they are still on my pc but other mkv files working fine so i dont know why

the files working but when i try to fast forward or move to a different time in the movie the vlc crash

someone on another server advice me to download core media player so i did the toon was worst then the vlc player but i got a message about the file i hope this will help you guys with my problem
