Rotating movies.

Postby Uncle Gweilo » 21 Mar 2010 04:39

Hello all,

This is probably as basic as it gets, but the answer is just not presenting itself to me.

I have taken several movies on my digital camera. Most are in horizontal but a few are in vertical. How do I rotate the image in VLC, apart from turning my laptop on its end? :D

Your question isn't that silly, I have pretty much the same question. Prior to reading this I was able to figure out how to rotate the video, works great on the PC, my question is how do I go about saving the vid in the new orientation? I would like to be able to rotate it, save it in the new oreintation and put on USB drive and watch on TV (family vacation vid).

Any help appreciated.

I have a video sent to me from an Iphone. It plays in horizontal position. How can I change the page orientation to Vertical?

Use the dialogs for effects to rotate it.

Thanks that was amazing. It was fun rotating videos with that arrow thing. Thanks a ton.
