MKV H264 1080p file crashes VLC 1.05

Postby Arbie » 20 Mar 2010 05:06

The short 1080p MKV for which an NZB is provided below crashes VLC 1.05 (and 1.01) when the dragbar is used to go near the end of the clip. This is on Windows XP Pro with latest updates, 4GB RAM, and a Radeon HD 4850 graphics card with 512MB and the latest Catalyst drivers.

The full video of which this is a sample crashes VLC when you use the dragbar to move around a few times.

Note - I don't know if the devs want to know this stuff, or even if this is the right place to report it. It looked like the best place. If not, I apologize and please ignore.

THE FOLLOWING IS A USENET NZB FILE (save as "sample.nzb"). The MKV download is 76MB:

Moderator edit: Removed Usenet link to pirated movie file (Sample.mkv from The.Princess.and.the.Frog.2009.1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264-EbP)

Have you tried VLC 1.1.0 nightly builds?
