VLC UPnP discovers server but no content

Hi I have ushare UPnP server running on a mybook world. It works and I can access video's via either XBMC (OSX) or from an Xbox360

I'd like to access it from VLC (Mac & Ubuntu Linux)

I have installed the latest VLC (1.0.5) on Ubunto and OSX.

In both clients I can see UPnP in the discovery services section and can enable it (tick box). I can also see the name of my UPnP server in the playlists screen (In both clients), but I'm not able to browse any folders or content ? I would expect to be able to navigate the folders on my UPnP server as I can in XBMC & from the xbox360 ?


Any suggestions would be gratefully received, I may well be misunderstanding how this works or doing something wrong
