hkclassesroot dvd shell play command change to ...\vlc.exe dvd:%1

will autoplay dvds in win2k

viewtopic.php?t=4709&highlight=dvd+autoplay should also document it fairly well.

I'm not sure -- the registry change may be in the current VLC self-installer for Windows.
