Find IPTV stream ip adresses, port

Hi all!

I have the following problem: In my house TV reception works over IPTV, and there is a box that runs some customized version of the Oregan Media Browser (http://oregan.net/). However, I would like to watch TV with VLC, and maybe mythtv, but have no idea about the protocol (UDP or RTP) or IP adresses or ports the box uses. I guess it will be multicast, but VLC recieves no SAP messages, apparently.
What other options do I have to find that out? Or does anyone by chance know if there is a way to access the Oregan configuration stuff?

Plug in a switch (or even better an old hub) between the TV, the network upstream and a computer. Then run wireshark on the computer and see the IP addresses.
