Pause with left mouse click

Postby r4in » 25 Dec 2009 10:48

Hello there,

just simple question: how to bind pause function to left mouse click? I mean single left click in video window, another click would resume playing; this behavior is common for most video players. I googled net upside down and still couldn't find answer. I can't believe that this simple function is not included in complex-like media player VLC tries to be. Using VLC 1.0.3. Also, I am posting this in "Windows" forum because can't really tell how this works in Linux etc.

Thank you and enjoy your xmas!

Mouse keys aren't bindable in VLC, so you cannot change their default behavior. So your pause thingy would require additional code.

Could VLC dev team consider adding this feature to the next release?

I would love to see this pause with single click as well since I'm used to it as the default feature in many other media players.
