can I shuffle play music ?

I just started using VLC and only use it for music, is there a shuffle play option ?

'r' hotkey or random button at the bottom of the playlist.

In Android, I found a way to shuffle all songs, regardless of creating playlists: hold any song, a menu appears, tap "play all".
When player starts, tap the shuffle icon on the bottom left - hope it helps

excellent, after touching play all, i also have to touch the song at the bottom for the shuffle icon (criss-cross) to appear at lower left
