Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

[Hardware] Which DVB-C and DVB-S Cards with VLS?

Postby golive » 24 Jan 2005 17:41

Maybe it´s a really silly question, but searching the forum to hardware, dvb, buy etc didn.t help, nothing mentioned in the FAQs and the wiki is not working....

so here are my questions:

1. and most important: Which DVB-C and which DVB-C cards do you recommend most for a Live-Video-Streaming-Solution?

2. If I use parallel several cards, can VLS stream parallel these streams or do I need an extra VLS mashine for each stream?

3. or which hardware do you recommend when videosource is already existing (composite video) or also SDI Video? - (MPEG-Encoding)

So far and thanks for your answers in advance...
