How to 'lock' window position & size?

Postby Imageman » 06 Dec 2009 15:57

Windows 7 64bit / VLC 1.0.3

I posted this some time ago, but have changed the OS from Vista to Windows 7, and the solution no longer works, even though I used the settings - Tools>Preferences>Show Settings 'All">Video>Canvas> Output width 600, output height 600. Screen still changes to whatever size the video is.

I would like the VLC player to retain it's size and position on the screen until I change it, regardless of the content being played. This way I can race through my video selection process. Is there a way to do this? I think VLC Media Player is a GREAT software, by the way :-) - Thanks for your help, IM

In vlc1.0.x, for vlc never to resize the main window (qt4 interface), you can do two things (both in first panel of preferences) :

- uncheck "Resize interface to video Size".
- select "Complete" as display_mode.
