VLC 1.0.3 FLV Glitch

Postby nightcrawler2000 » 07 Nov 2009 16:00

The new version of VLC is glitching with my flv files. Whenever I open one, when the video starts, it only shows the current length of time. The full length is just a series of dashes, and whenever I click on a spot on the progress bar, the video just starts over at the beginning. The 1.0.2 of the VLC player didn't have this glitch. My operating system is Windows Vista in case that makes a difference.

Also, on a sidenote, someone should update the confirmation code for people who are registering. The code is obscured so much that I had to enter the code ten times before I found one I could read accurately.

Yes, I also had the problem with 1.0.3 on Windows 7, and with 2-3 second distortion on seeking WMV files, whereas 1.0.2 is fine. This has been mentioned on other threads in the Windows forum:

I see this was brought up some months back. Is there a solution?
