VLC embed web page

Postby mcsniper95 » 21 Oct 2009 18:51

Good afternoon,

I want to make a web server based on Tomcat 5.5 running on Windows XP. This should allow you to view videos through the vlc plugin in both IE and Firefox.

I read many of your posts and decided to try the proposed solutions:
- Http://vlc.revolunet.com/

My server works correctly, and gain access to it via the link: http://localhost:9000
Then there is the problem, first I want to perform a local test and I launch vlc streaming with a video file (xxx.mpg) to the address http://127.0.0.1: 1234 with ts muxer.
I installed the vlc plugin ActiveX and Mozilla plugin, and the multimedia content cant be read through target = http://127.0.0.1:1234, the screen does not appear or the screen appears with a message: waiting for video.
I do not understand how to solve the problem, so I ask for your help me.

What is the best way to view video in a html page?

I cannot help with the web plugin method, I could not get it to work myself.
Here is a simple solution that does work, it can be bandwidth intensive fow www if you need a large picture size at reasonable quality without precompression, but works very well on LAN.

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
