Audio/Video Sync problems on RedHat 9

I installed the RPM versions of VLC 0.7 on a RedHat 9. Everything is seems to work properly, a part from the sync Audio/Video: on every kind of files (avi/vob/mp4) I try to play I can't get the sync.

any ideas ?
