can i use VLC to share videos on a LAN?

hi.i want to share some videos in LAN but i dont want them to be copied.i want that other users just watch them and not copy them.is that possible with VLC??

If somebody can watch your video he can copy it. You can only make it harder for him, but with enough knowledge he can always copy your video.
