Streaming audio to multiple files

Postby schnorginator » 30 Sep 2009 20:41

I have VLC set up to record an internet radio stream to an mp3 file. I have noticed that whenever a new song comes on, VLC alerts me with a popup on the taskbar. Given that VLC seems to be aware of the change, is there some way I could get it to create a new .mp3 file ever time a new song begins? So instead of dumping the stream to a single file, it would create a new file each time the track changes. Thanks!
