I open the file like I always did, but no subtitles. When I go to Video > Subtitles Track ... Track 1 is checked.

I've upated from a very old version (0.8xx), to 1.01, and now VLC doesn't show subtitles.
I open the file like I always did, but no subtitles. When I go to Video > Subtitles Track ... Track 1 is checked.

Subtitltes work fine, otherwise we'd have seen thousands of complaints for the whole year since 0.9.0 was released.
Make sure the fonts and character sets are correct.
