RTP statistics using wireshark

Postby irenuska23 » 08 Sep 2009 11:01

Hi all!!

I am streaming a video with VLC from one PC to another PC, and then i must analyze the packets RTP. i am using wireshark but i don't understand the parameters it shows. can you help me? or give me any link where they are explained?. I have been looking for jitter means but i don't understand it.

the statistics are:

Packet
sequence
Delta (ms) <-- ???
jitter (ms)
IP BW (kbps)
Marker

then i can visualise the following graphs:

jitter from one PC to other
difference from one PC to othe

but what does difference mean??

Thanks a lot in advance!

Maybe you should ask from wireshark people...
