RTMP stream troubles

I have the URL of an RTMP live stream I would like to watch with VLC. I go to the Network tab (as I would with any other stream), hit RTMP in the "protocol" drop-down menu, then paste in the address and hit Play. While the Messages box makes it seem like a success, no video or audio ever plays. Sometimes I get a "Buff: 0%" and then nothing else. When I close VLC, its GUI disappears but it continues running, and I have to use Ubuntu's System Monitor to kill it.

Is there something I'm not doing correctly or is RTMP still not supported by VLC?

The address is rtmp://cp80923.live.edgefcs.net/live/ashe_high@13675. It's the official stream for the main court of the US Open. (I live in the US, so I'm not doing anything illegal...I think) The Flash player doesn't work on my computer, but I managed to use the Firefox extension "Firebug" to dig up the URL. To me, it looks like everything's okay (no big red warnings)...but then it just sits there. Nothing happens.

EDIT: Behaviour also confirmed under Windows. VLC bug?
