Drives that enforce zone locking

Hi.

It seems to me that a lot of trouble comes, these days, from drives that refuse to give access to raw encrypted DVD contents, like the Matsushita drives.

Is there somewhere on the web a list of drives that are known to do that, and of drives that are known not to do that? That would be useful as a reference for troubleshooting (at least as a link in the FAQ), and to guide new purchases.

(I know this is not strictly related to VLC, but libdvdcss is directly related to VLC, and VLC is probably the most common DVD player that has the issue.)
