Ever one to be uptodate I upgraded vlc from 0.8.8d; 0.9.9; then 1.0.0. and now 1.0.1
I have a video ( actually I am only interested in the AUDIO) encoded, so my screen reecorder tells me, at a constant bit rate of 196Kbps. Slow I know but the image is esentially static and I listen to the audio at work (naughty boy!) and the bit rate varies between 82 bpm ( bits per minute!) and 10Mbps.
The variable bit rate being caused by our firewall s/w checking the source of any stream for viruses - as if
I also have my own, small, network on which I run w2k server and an xp client.
It is on the xp client I seem to have a problem.
In vlc 0.8.8d and 0.9.9 I can play http://do-it.no-ip.org/MEDIA/arts/theat ... onplay.m3u and hear the audio - no problem.
However in vlc1.0.0 and 1.0.1 I do not hear the audio and the screen shows only what I take to be the first frame...
Any ideas anyone?
