Mozilla plugin does not work properly

Hi,

I have the plugin for mozilla installed on a debian (2.4.27) system with mozilla 1.7.3 and vlc 0.8.1 but I get no video. Audio works but the screen stays black.... When I try to play the video via vlc itself, typing the url it is no problem. Does anybody has an idea what is wrong ?
