Graphic Equilizer Doesn't Consistently Stay On

VLC 0.9.9
Windows XP SP3
Using a F4tality Card

I saw in the last version of VLC the graphic equilizer "enable" button didn't stay on when you changed songs. You guys fixed that, but not even though it stays checked, the resulting equilizer doens't carry over. So even though its checked, if you change songs, you have to uncheck it, and then recheck the "enable" button for the levels to change. Thanks!
