Increase the timeout in VLC 0.9.9

Hi all,
I am taking a stream in VLC 0.9.9 activex from wireless camera via rtsp request.Sometimes the stream gets lost but i'm able to view the stream through internet explorer.I am getting connetion timeout message.Is there any way to increase the timeout?
