Output window vanishes when returning from fullscreen

Postby voxadam » 11 Jun 2009 11:02

Disclaimer: I am reporting this here only after giving up on Trac. Sorry.

Every time I try to return to windowed output from fullscreen the output window vanishes. The audio keeps playing and I can control the stream, just not see it. The only way I can restore the output is to close vlc and start it again.

Never mind.... I thought I had tried deleting ~/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist but I hadn't. After reverting to the default settings everything appears to be working.

Sorry for the noise.

Okay I was wrong, this is a valid bug. The output window only disappears when Spaces is enabled and 'Always on top' is checked in vlc's prefs is checked. It is not triggered when 'Always on top' is unchecked in the prefs but 'Float on top' is checked in the Video menu.

Apparently this makes sense to thedj, something about utility windows confusing Expose and Spaces.
