newbie question

how in the world do i use this? im completely lost, and i have no idea what to do...i downloaded it...somehow...and now i cant figure anything out. do i need vls to use it? all i want to do is download 'the oc' (love that show) on my mac os x. some one said this vlc thing was great. got it...dont know what to do with it...HELP ME PLEASE! thank you...whoever can help must be some kind of god

First of all, neither VLC nor VLS is a program for downloading movies or tv-shows. VLC displays them pretty good and can re-send them to other local computers at your side, but you need to download them with another application previously. Have a look at mlnet, emule, etc. to do that.

After you have downloaded your illegal copy of your favourite tv-show, download VLC for Mac OS X, mount the disk-image and copy the VLC-application to your "Applications"-folder. Then launch it, open your movie and enjoy it. You don't need VLS to do that. VLS is written for a completely other purpose.

So, I hope I have helped you a bit, but additionally I do hope not to be some kind of god in any case.
