Need help with Defaulting Audio Devices in VLC for Mac OSX

Postby wburnham » 07 Apr 2009 16:06

I need help defaulting the Audio device in VLC from the "Built-In Output" to a secondary USB audio device I have set up on my mac mini. Right now, I have to go in to the VLC menu bar at the top of the screen & select the USB audio device in the "Audio Device" section.

I am trying to see if there is a way you can default the audio to this USB audio device.

I know you can go into System Preferences / Sound & change it.

However, I want to keep my mac mini set up to where it normally plays through the "Built-In Output on everything else (other than VLC).

Any suggestions?
