Web interface streaming

Hi..
I am playing with VLC streaming server..
I want to play the stream on a browser..
For that I have to use Add Interface feature and add Web interface on the server side..
So that the client can play the video on browser...
I am doing this on windows and I have tried on IE and firefox..
But I cant play video on any one of the browser..
I am a little new to VLC streaming server but I have played a lot with other streaming servers and also JVLC api..
So can anyone help me configure this or solve this problem...?
