VLC and WLAN

Postby waldy » 14 Feb 2009 22:07

Hello,

I have a lot of mp3 files on my PC. I have a n-draft network and it works good. In a other room I have my Notebook connected with my Hifi amplifier. With the VLC player i will play the files over WLAN. But I have everytime interupptions for one or two secounds. However, the network works correctly. What can I do?

Thank you.

By interruptions do you mean during the playback of a file, or between files?

If the former, try raising the file cache by going to:
Tools >> Preferences... >> (Select "All" for "Show settings") >> Input / Codecs >> Access modules >> File

And raise the "File caching value in ms" to something higher etc.

Thanks for responce. With your entries now it works perfectly. The file caching was the problem.

Many thanks.
