desperately need help with my acquisition card....

Postby iboadi » 14 Nov 2004 20:23

Hy,
I want to stream froma my acqusition card. I hava a Brooketree bt848, which is apparently recognized by mandrake 10 as a v4l device.
I have followed the instructions in ch.8 of HOW TO, but as do not intend to stream sound, I arrived at this command
vlc -vvv v4l:/dev/video:norm=pal:frequency=15625:size=640x480:channel=1--sout '#transcode{vcodec=mpgv,vb=500,vt=400000,keyint=80,deinterlace}:std{udp,mux=ts,url=172.16.23.83} --ttl 12

What is wrong with it, cause I do this in the command line and it does nothing. Or close to nothing.
It put to the next line a
>
sign and that is alll.
I also tried to replace v4l with bttv (le nom du module pour ma carte d'acquisition) mais ça marche pas non plus. If you know how to correct what I have done wrong, please tell me. thanls,
adi

you forgot the closing '

you need to put it right before --ttl 12
