opengl closes vlc

Postby raaaa » 29 Jan 2009 13:56

We got 2 systems each having 2 video cards, a matrox and an ati one, and 3 monitors. 2 monitors are connected to the matrox and the last monitor to the ati card.
The issue is that I've been trying to use opengl as video output for vlc. All goes well when we try to open the file on the monitors connected to the matrox card. But when I move vlc to the last monitor connected to ati and start the video, vlc spontaniously closes. DirectX video output works correctly, though.
In another system we only got 1 monitor connected to the same ati card, without the matrox card. In this configuration opengl works fine.
What to do about this?

found a workaround: Set the main monitor the the ati card (undesired though)

Dragging of OpenGL Windows between different display adapters doesn't work properly. I think this is some sort of limitation of OpenGL under Windows at least.
