Using Vlc 0.8.x and 0.9.x in background / daemon

Postby airtek » 25 Nov 2008 01:46

Hi guys ,

I'm trying to start Vlc in Daemon mode , with the command vlc -d on my ubuntu 8.0.4

I'm triying the 0.8.6i and the 0.9.6 version.

I don't understand , how i can manage the options of the vlc in daemon mode , how manage the files that it must to play , how to send the files that it will plays and others things.

In the documentation I don't found anything of useful.
Can you help me?

Use the RC or HTTP interface.
