Command Line exit of vlc 7.03

Postby sash » 01 Jan 2004 16:20

Hi there It still seems that the commandline exit of vlc 7.03 is different then the versions found in vlc 6.2.. I reported it in the version vlc 7.02.. or something different in how it shuts down because previous designed programs will not shut down the newer versions of vlc.
I hope this can be fixed before you release the it publicly

How did you do that? Perhaps you used some trick that only worked by accident earlier? Both ways I know still work. These are
vlc <some media> vlc:quit
- This plays the media then quits
vlc --intf rc
- This quits vlc when you type "quit" and press enter

okay I see what the problem was in (VLC media player) and the class of the window. In VLC 0.7 this is wxWindowClassNR but in prior versions was wxWindowClass. it was not actual a command shutdown but a class action. sorry for the confussion
