The best way to control VLC in remote mode

Postby eddymouse » 10 Nov 2008 14:43

Hi. I'm using vlc on Windows XP.
I need to create a video presentation. I need to play, stop, go to a point, pause and load another video via remote mode. I need that the OSD menu don't display. I need to restart the video without closing and reopen the window.
What is the best way to do this?
I try via keyboard shortcuts but I don't like it. It is possible to use antoher way?
Thanks a lot

I need that the OSD menu don't display.
You mean when press pause, mute, or similar keys? Not possible ATM.
I need to restart the video without closing and reopen the window.
Not possible with 0.9.x

And there isn't official remote keyboard support. But there are some unofficial programs for that.
