I've been trying to reproduce AIFF files of an AudioCD but there's allways distortion all over it.
I'm using Ubuntu Hardy w/ vlc 0.9.4. I know the files are ok. Over Quicktime on WinXP machines they sound good.
Here're the codec details from Media Information:
- Codec: araw
- Channels: 2
- Sample br: 44100
- bps: 16
- br: 1411 kb/s

The issue is still present on 0.9.5. I've reported a bug
