No fullscreen controls

Postby JimPD » 17 Oct 2008 17:01

I can't get the controls to appear during fullscreen viewing. Version 0.9.4, Windows XP.

Strange thing is, they were there the very first time I viewed a flv file. I clicked a few buttons, it all worked, then I clicked the "turn off sound" thing and the controls disappeared and haven't come back.

I tried the following in Preferences:
  • Interface... Interface Type... selected Native; "Show a controller in fullscreen" was checked
  • Reset preferences
Nothing has helped.

Hi, I also have the same problem (full screen controller has mysteriously disappeared) , but I can't find where to remove the '%appdata%\vlc' folder. Can you direct me there, or give me some clues?

Thank you so much.

Windows version 9.4

Press Windows key + r, and type %appdata%\vlc there and click OK. You should see the place where VLC stores its settings. Just remove the folder where you are now (so move up one step in file structure and remove vlc folder from there).

Geez you're good: you fixed it up nicely; I feel like I owe you. Thank you very much.
