Problem with RTSP: No access module matched "rtsp"

Postby jgg » 07 Oct 2008 11:39

Hi,

I have updated (in Ubuntu 8.04.1) from VLC 0.9.0-test3 to VLC 0.9.3 and now I can't receive any RTSP stream. I use VLC 0.8.6e in the server side, but it worked before so I guess it should now.

I have downloaded the source code for VLC 0.9.3, configured with 'prefix=/usr --with-live555-tree=~/live" options, built and installed but when trying to establish a RTSP connection it fails with these messages:

Code: Select all

live555 demux error: Failed to connect with rtsp://IP:PORT/rock_GARBAGE main access error: no access module matched "rtsp" main input error: open of 'rtsp://IP:PORT/rock_GARBAGE' failed: could not create access: no access module matched "rtsp"
I've tried with previous apt-get build-dep and again with VLC 0.9.0-test3, with the latest live555 source code and, as live555 module is enabled by default, I can't understand what is happening now.

Probably I'm missing something, so, could please anybody help me?

Thanks,
Javi

Well, live555 fails. Please refer to the live555 error messages.
