MP3 Player will not play mp3s created by VLC

Hi

I am trying to convert some MP4 files into MP3 so that they are playable in my car's mp3 player.

I use VLC to do this, using the WAV encapsulation setting, audio codec is MP3, with about 192kpbs and 2 channels.

If anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong, or if it is a specific problem with VLC

I would greatly appreciate it!
