Float32 output mode under directx? on or off?

Postby Shakama » 05 Aug 2008 02:26

im not sure what Float32 output mode (directx audio) is but i know its something to do with high quality so should i keep it turned off or should i turn it on? i dont know which yields better audio, i tryed both; when off audio seems louder more echo-like high pitched but when its on its like more stable more DRC-like. i got onboard soundmax. and concerning other options that are there which should be turned on?

If float32 works, then use it. It should provide better audio quality. Some sound devices (or their drivers) have issues with float32.
